Kaiyi Auto Renews Dealership Contract with Kaiyi Motors Egypt for 5 Years
Renewing the Agency Contract for 5 Years
Chinese automaker Kaiyi Auto has announced the renewal of its dealership agreement with Kaiyi Motors Egypt, the brand’s local agent in the Egyptian market, for the next five years — a move reflecting the continuation of the partnership between the two sides, as the company prepares to move into a new phase of expansion and deepen local manufacturing in Egypt.
The partnership renewal agreement was signed in the presence of Mohamed Farag, Chairman of Kaiyi Motors Egypt, and Han Ren, General Manager of Kaiyi International, along with a number of executives from both companies.
Terms of the New Contract
The new dealership contract covers the import of Kaiyi vehicles for the Egyptian market, alongside sales, marketing, and distribution, as well as after-sales and maintenance services, ensuring the continuity of the brand’s operations in the local market over the next five years.
Local Manufacturing in Egypt
Mohamed Farag said the contract renewal represents an extension of the existing partnership, explaining that the next phase aims to continue implementing the brand’s ambitious plans in the Egyptian market, with a focus on increasing local content, deepening manufacturing, and transferring expertise to the local market.
He added that the company’s plan is not limited to starting local production of Kaiyi vehicles in Egypt, but also aims to gradually expand the manufacturing base and increase reliance on local components — supporting local industry’s ability to meet the requirements of different markets in the future — alongside working to meet the certification and requirements needed before starting export operations.
Starting X3 Pro Production in 2027
The renewed partnership comes on the back of results achieved by Kaiyi Motors Egypt since the brand’s launch in the Egyptian market in May 2025, during which the company worked to strengthen Kaiyi’s presence through the rollout of several models, the development of sales and marketing operations, and building an after-sales and maintenance service network.
The contract renewal coincides with Kaiyi Motors Egypt’s moves to implement its local manufacturing plan, which aims to begin producing Kaiyi vehicles in Egypt starting with the X3 Pro model, with local production set to begin in early 2027.
Han Ren’s Statements
For his part, Han Ren, General Manager of Kaiyi International, affirmed the Chinese company’s continued support for its Egyptian agent going forward, noting that Kaiyi views the Egyptian market as an important one within the brand’s plans, and that the five-year extended partnership forms a foundation for completing expansion plans and strengthening Kaiyi’s presence in Egypt.
He explained that the Chinese company will continue to provide the technical, technological, and engineering support needed for local manufacturing plans in line with Kaiyi’s standards, affirming its full support for the plans being implemented by its agent in the Egyptian market.
Han Ren noted that Kaiyi Motors Egypt has successfully implemented multiple stages of its ambitious plans in the Egyptian market over the past period, which supports the continuation of cooperation between the two sides and the completion of the agreed strategic plans for the coming period.
Future of the Partnership
The five-year extended partnership aims to continue Kaiyi Motors Egypt’s expansion plans in the Egyptian market, both in terms of sales and distribution and after-sales services, alongside a gradual shift toward greater reliance on local production.
The company also aims to deepen local manufacturing and transfer expertise to the Egyptian market, while working to develop the local components base to support future expansion plans and open the door to exports to foreign markets once the necessary requirements and certifications are met.
The start of X3 Pro manufacturing in Egypt in early 2027 is expected to mark a new phase in the cooperation between Kaiyi Auto and Kaiyi Motors Egypt, especially with the Chinese company’s continued support for its local agent’s manufacturing and expansion plans and strengthening the brand’s presence in the Egyptian market.
